Bluffton ChesSmart boy wins US Chess Federation Tourney trophy

On Saturday, June 26 ChesSmart’s Chris McCorkindale won 2nd place and a trophy after only 7 ChesSmart lessons. Playing in his first USCF tournament, Chris, son of Becky and Chris McCorkindale, won 2 games, had one bye and lost won. GREAT JOB, CHRIS!

In a post tourny inteview, Chris was asked what he liked best about the tournament. Chris replied, “I got to play chess!” It wasn’t the wins or the trophy, but the joy of the game that he liked best!
